Freedom Coin
============
Risk Disclosure and Disclaimer

Please read this before downloading, building, mining, holding, or otherwise
using Freedom Coin or its software. Taking part means you understand and
accept everything set out below. If you do not accept it, do not participate.

1. Experimental software, no warranty
-------------------------------------
Freedom Coin is new, experimental software, provided "as is" and "as
available," with no warranty of any kind, express or implied. This includes,
without limitation, any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular
purpose, reliability, or non-infringement. The software may contain bugs,
errors, or vulnerabilities. You use it entirely at your own risk.

2. Not investment, financial, legal, or tax advice
--------------------------------------------------
Nothing in this project, its documentation, its website, or its communications
is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. Freedom Coin is not offered or
sold as an investment, a security, or a financial product, and no profit,
gain, return, or increase in value is promised, implied, or should be
expected. Do not participate expecting to make money.

3. No offer and no solicitation
-------------------------------
This project is not an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy,
any security, token, or financial instrument. There is no sale, no presale, no
fundraising, and nothing for you to purchase from the project. Coins exist
only as rewards for mining on the open network.

4. Risk of total loss
---------------------
A new cryptocurrency may have little or no value, no liquidity, and no market
or exchange willing to trade it. Its value can fall to zero. Any money,
electricity, hardware, or time you commit may be lost entirely and
permanently, and you should commit nothing you cannot afford to lose
completely.

5. No team, no support, no guarantee of continuity
--------------------------------------------------
Freedom Coin has no company, no foundation, and no masters. No one is
obligated to maintain the software, fix problems, run infrastructure, answer
questions, or keep the project alive. There is no customer support and no
service guarantee. The project may stall, fragment, or be abandoned at any
time, and no one is responsible for ensuring it continues.

6. You alone control your keys
------------------------------
Your coins are controlled by your private keys and your 24-word recovery
phrase. You are solely responsible for keeping them safe. If you lose your
recovery phrase, your coins are gone permanently and no one can recover them
for you. There is no password reset, no account recovery, and no authority
that can restore lost access.

7. Transactions are irreversible
--------------------------------
Once confirmed, a transaction cannot be reversed, cancelled, or refunded by
anyone. If you send coins to the wrong address, or to an address you do not
control, they are likely lost for good. Check every detail before you send.

8. Security and cryptographic risk
----------------------------------
Freedom Coin uses post-quantum cryptographic standards, but no cryptography is
guaranteed unbreakable, and no software is guaranteed free of flaws. The
project has not undergone a formal independent third-party security audit; do
not assume that it has. As with every fixed-supply proof-of-work coin, how the
network's security is funded after all coins are mined is an unsolved, open
question. Your own computer, if compromised, can also put your coins at risk
regardless of the protocol's strength.

9. Network and early-stage risk
-------------------------------
A young network is fragile. Early on there may be few miners and low total
mining power, which makes the chain more exposed to disruptions, deep chain
reorganizations, and attacks by anyone who can marshal a majority of the
mining power. Network conditions, block times, and reliability may be
unstable, especially in the beginning.

10. Mining is not guaranteed profit
-----------------------------------
Mining consumes electricity and wears hardware. Your rewards depend on the
total mining power on the network and are not guaranteed to exceed, or even
approach, your costs. Treat mining as participation in an open network, not as
a way to earn a return.

11. Legal and regulatory risk
-----------------------------
The legal status of cryptocurrencies, mining, and related activity varies
widely between jurisdictions and can change without notice. You are solely
responsible for understanding and complying with all laws that apply to you,
including tax obligations and any restrictions or prohibitions in your
location. Participation may be limited or unlawful where you live. The project
makes no representation that taking part is lawful in any particular place.

12. Forward-looking statements are not promises
-----------------------------------------------
Any roadmap, plan, goal, or future direction described anywhere in the project
is a possibility, not a commitment. Because no one controls Freedom Coin, its
future is determined by whoever chooses to build on it, and described future
features may never be delivered. Reserved or planned capabilities are not
shipped features and should not be relied upon.

13. No recourse
---------------
Because Freedom Coin has no controlling entity, there is no company to hold
responsible, no party to sue, no refunds, and no recourse if something goes
wrong. There is no insurance and no compensation scheme. You bear all risk
yourself.

14. Verify for yourself
-----------------------
Freedom Coin is open source and built to be checked rather than trusted.
Before relying on it, read the code, reproduce the build, confirm the
binaries, and verify the genesis and the published rules yourself. Do your own
research, and trust nothing here that you cannot independently verify.

Acceptance
----------
By downloading, building, mining, holding, transacting in, or otherwise using
Freedom Coin or its software, you acknowledge that you have read, understood,
and accepted this Risk Disclosure and Disclaimer, and that you take part
entirely at your own risk.
